German Push to Navy's ₹43,000 Crore Submarine Project may put India in a Tight Spot

The Indian Navy's delayed submarine project finally got some push when German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius visited India. His visit to MDL in Mumbai witnessed the signing of an MoU between Thyssenkrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) and MDL to collaborate on the ₹43,000 crore Project-75 to build six submarines with better sensors and weapons as well as Air-Independent Propulsion (AIP) system.
