Grand 75th Army Day gala in Bengaluru; Why it is celebrated on January 15 | Explained

India salutes the unrivalled valour and glory of bravehearts on the occasion of the 75th Army Day. This year's parade is the first of its kind, having taken place outside the national capital of Delhi since the celebrations began in 1949. The parade took place in Bengaluru at the Madras Engineer Group (MEG) headquarters and centre. In a break with tradition, the Indian Army has decided to hold the celebrations across the country. The parade would take place at various field commands across India in order to foster a stronger connection with the local community.
