The Hindustan Aeronautics Limited removed a picture of Lord Hanuman from one of their aircraft at the Aero India 2023 following a controversy. HAL had showcased the full-scale model of its supersonic trainer aircraft HLFT-42 with a picture of Lord Hanuman on its tail. HAL earlier said they had decided to use Hanuman's picture to display the power of the aircraft, however the decision to remove it came after an internal discussion. Aero India 2023 is Asia's largest aero show and it was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The 5-day event will see participation of 809 companies and delegates from 98 countries.
