The Delhi High Court has turned down a petition seeking possession of the iconic Red Fort, by a woman who claims to be the widow of the great-grandson of Mughal emperor Bahadur Shah Zafar II. Sultana Begum told the court that the government was in illegal possession of Red Fort, her ancestral property. Judges refused to go into the merits of the case & dismissed the plea on grounds of inordinate delay.
