India's military counter to Pak, China; CDS sets 'deadline' for Army, IAF & Navy

India's second Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) Gen Anil Chauhan has started work on the creation of a military theatre command. He recently met with the three service chiefs in Pune to know their perspective about the initiative. He also gave them three months time to respond. The creation of military theatre command will ensure coordinated and rapid military response and will give a military theatre commander ground, air and sea assets control so that fast decisions can be taken on ground.
