India vs the world: Deaths due to air pollution

Studies suggest that around 90% of people breathe dangerously contaminated air, causing 7 million, or 70 lakh deaths every year across the globe. While India sees 70 deaths per 1 lakh population every year due to air pollution, the corresponding figure in Germany is 17, while in Egypt it is 109.
