Indian Cough Syrup In Iraq Triggers Fifth WHO Alert In 10 Months; 'Unsafe, May Result In Death...'

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has issued an alert over a "substandard," India-made cough syrup in Iraq. The WHO warned that the consumption of the "substandard batch of the product" by kids may lead to severe injury or even death. This is the fifth such alert issued against an Indian manufacturer in the past 10 months. The WHO said the syrup made by Fourrts (India) Laboratories for Dabilife Pharma had contaminants higher than an acceptable limit. Watch for more details.
