Indian govt reacts to phone hacking report | Pegasus row

- Union minister of Communication, Electronics, and Information Technology made a statement in Parliament over a report claiming possible hacking of phones of politicians, journalists, and activists in the country. Ashwini Vaishnaw called a report which first appeared in 'The Wire' a bid to malign Indian democracy. He said that India's well-established procedures regarding surveillance prevent illegal snooping. The report said that NSO's Pegasus software may have been used to hack phones of some Indian citizens. Watch the full video for more.
