Indian killed in Russian attack on Ukraine? Zelensky’s revelation comes after Modi-Putin's SCO meet

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on September 1 said an Indian citizen was among 12 people killed in a wave of Russian missile and drone attacks across Ukraine. The announcement came as Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the 26th Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Summit in Kyrgyzstan. During their meeting, Modi urged Putin to help bring an end to the Ukraine war “for humanity’s sake” and reiterated India’s support for peace efforts.
