Indus Water Row: India Rejects Pakistan’s ‘Illegal’ Bid To Move Hague-Based Tribunal | Details

India will not join proceedings initiated by Pakistan at the Permanent Court of Arbitration over two hydropower projects in Kashmir, which has ruled it is competent to consider and determine the disputes. The external affairs ministry spokesperson, Arindam Bagchi, said that India’s position has always been that the Hague-based tribunal proceedings are inconsistent with the Indus Waters Treaty and are "patently illegal".
