Jaishankar: 'China Gives Different Explanations At Different Times; None Tenable' | Ladakh Clashes

External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar offered a detailed explanation of India-China tensions. Speaking with the Council on Foreign Relations, Jaishankar said that India had been warned after it amassed troops at the LAC in 2020. He also said that China has not yet given any tenable explanation for its 2020 action. He has also said China’s actions have disrupted ties and contacts and left the relationship in an abnormal state with “a high level of military tension”, warning that tensions between the two biggest countries in Asia will have consequences for the world.
