‘Kemcho...’: When W.H.O chief Tedros' Gujarati greeting touched PM Modi's heart

  • WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus greeted the public in Gujarati during the inaugural ceremony of the WHO-Global Centre for Traditional Medicine in Jamnagar on Tuesday. While addressing the public during the ceremony, the WHO Director-General said, 'I have a special connection with India. I learned about traditional medicines from India, I am very grateful to my teachers'. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also appreciated the WHO chief for making an effort to speak in Gujarati at the inaugural event.
