Massive fire in SCB hospital's trauma care in Odisha's Cuttack kills 11, CM orders probe

A tragic fire at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, Odisha, has claimed the lives of 11 people after flames broke out inside the ICU in the early hours of Monday. According to officials, the fire started between 2:30 AM and 3:00 AM, prompting an immediate response from firefighters and emergency teams. Multiple fire engines rushed to the hospital, and rescue operations were launched to evacuate patients from the affected ICU ward. Mohan Charan Majhi, Chief Minister of Odisha, rushed to the hospital soon after the incident. He said a possible short circuit may have triggered the fire but added that the exact cause will be confirmed after an investigation.
