Modi govt to set up missile command in 1st step towards theaterisation of forces

Modi govt is considering setting up a new tri-services missile/rocket command. This is seen as the first step toward the ambitious theaterisation of the military. New rocket/missile command will be set up along the lines of space & cyber command. Missiles like Brahmos, Akash, Agni as well as Pinaka rocket system will come under one command for rapid deployment and will respond to a hostile adversary. Last week, General Anil Chauhan took over as the new Chief of Defence of Staff. He will spearhead the theaterisation drive to utilise military resources for future operations.
