The Mohamed Muizzu government is attempting a facesaver amid massive backlash from India over racist, anti-Modi remarks by its now-suspended ministers. Dr Ali Naseer Mohamed, ambassador at large in the Maldivian foreign ministry, told Indian High Commissioner Munu Mahawar that the Muizzu government does not share the view of its junior deputy ministers. The comments reportedly came in a pre-arranged meeting in Male. Maldives is facing boycott calls in India despite its actions against the minsters who passed derogatory remarks following PM Narendra Modi's visit to Lakshadweep. Watch for more.
