'Muslim women…': Himanta Biswa Sarma vs Owaisi faceoff over Uniform Civil Code

Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma has batted for the implementation of Uniform Civil Code in the country, saying it will give justice to the Muslim women by putting an end to the polygamy and other practices. The Assam CM said that like Triple Talaq Law, UCC must be implemented as he claimed that it will benefit the Muslims, in particular the women. However AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi countered the Assam CM, saying the UCC violates the equal rights of the citizens and is a move to divert the attention from burning issues of unemployment and inflation etc. Watch the video for more.
