Nepal floods spark India’s big rescue push: 320 missing, 400 stuck in Tibet, Jaishankar takes charge

At least 320 Indians remain missing in Nepal, while another 400 are stranded in Tibet after devastating flash floods hit areas along the Nepal-China border. The Ministry of External Affairs said India is closely monitoring the situation and is prepared to provide Kathmandu with all possible assistance. MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said 153 Indian nationals stranded in Tibet have safely entered Nepal. Meanwhile, 21 Indians reached New Delhi on Friday after travelling from the flood-hit areas of Nepal to Kathmandu. External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar welcomed the Tamil Nadu residents at the national capital’s airport.
