Petrol, diesel price hike: Why Union minister Hardeep Puri said he won't comment

- As petrol and diesel prices rose for the 4th consecutive day, and commuters aired their grievances, the Union government sought to shift the onus. Petrol prices were hiked for the 16th time and diesel for the 19th time since the 3-week hiatus in rate revision in September. While petrol prices are above ₹100 per litre in most parts of the country, diesel prices have crossed ₹100 per litre in around a dozen states and Union Territories. Meanwhile, Union petroleum minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that the 'levers' which control fuel prices are in 'other peoples' hands. Watch the full video for more.
