'Pick up our chappal...': Uma Bharti's description of bureaucracy sparks row

BJP leader and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Uma Bharti sparked controversy by making a series of remarks on bureaucracy. Video of Bharti’s comments admitting how politicians use bureaucrats to further their politics has now gone viral on social media. In the said video, Bharti can be seen saying “bureaucracy is nothing and it is there to pick up our chappals (slippers).” The ex-union minister also said that bureaucrats do not control politicians but in fact, it is vice versa.
