High drama ensues in Punjab for over 24 hours now as police continue to chase Khalistani preacher Amritpal Singh. The 'Waris Punjab De' chief dodged the cops after he was chased for at least 20-25 km. Security has been beefed up across Punjab and the state is on high alert. While the hunt for Amritpal is on, the police have launched a state-wide crackdown on pro-Khalistani elements. Seven of Amritpal's closest aides have been arrested. The Punjab High Court has asked the police to respond by Tuesday on Amritpal's arrest after his group 'Waris Punjab De' filed a plea claiming that he was in police custody and must be produced before the court.
