Samajwadi Party cries foul after 2500 booked for flouting Covid norms at rally

The Lucknow police on Friday registered an FIR against 2,500 Samajwadi Party workers for violating the EC COVID-19 protocols during the party's 'virtual rally' in Lucknow. Police took action against hundreds of supporters had turned up at the party office on Friday to physically attend a 'virtual rally'. Defending the SP event, party UP chief Naresh Uttam Patel said they didn't call anyone but people came. SP was holding an induction programme for former BJP ministers Swami Prasad Maurya, Dharam Singh Saini and five other MLAs. Watch full video.
