Congress MP Shashi Tharoor has raised serious concerns over the ongoing unrest in Bangladesh, strongly condemning the lynching of a man who was in police custody and calling it “completely unwarranted.” Tharoor said India wants Bangladesh to remain calm and stable, with minorities feeling safe, especially ahead of the February elections. He also criticised protests outside Indian consulates and dismissed allegations blaming India for the death of a student leader as “preposterous,” warning that such rhetoric is fuelling hostility and instability.
