- AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi targeted the BJP govt after his Delhi residence was vandalised. Delhi Police have arrested five members of the Hindu Sena for their alleged involvement. Owaisi said vandals pelted stones & destroyed the nameplate at the house in Ashoka Road. The AIMIM MP from Hyderabad was in Lucknow at the time of the alleged vandalism. “These people have been radicalised & the responsibility for radicalisation falls upon BJP. If the residence of an MP is being attacked, what message is sent across the country?” he said. The AIMIM MP also alleged that his caretaker was assaulted amid communal sloganeering. Owaisi added that despite similar incidents before nothing has been done to prevent such acts. Later, Hindu Sena chief Vishnu Gupta released a statement & took responsibility for the incident. Gupta said 'Hindu Sena workers had staged a protest as they were offended by his anti-Hindu statement’. Owaisi recently launched AIMIM’s poll campaign from Ayodhya for the 2022 UP Assembly polls.
