During Zero Hour in the Rajya Sabha, Delhi MP Swati Maliwal raised serious concerns over the alleged nexus between private hospitals and insurance companies. The Aam Aadmi Party leader said many patients are facing financial exploitation due to the growing influence of insurance-linked hospital practices. Maliwal alleged that some private hospitals inflate treatment costs or recommend unnecessary procedures because insurance companies are involved in the billing process.
