U.P: Auraiya burns after Dalit teen thrashed by absconding teacher dies | Watch

• Violent protests broke out in Achalda village of Auraiya district in Uttar Pradesh last night following the death of a Dalit teen. On Sep 7, a 15-year-old class 10 student was thrashed for a mistake in test by his teacher. The parents of the boy alleged that the teacher even hurled casteist slurs at them. 19 days on, the teen succumbed to his injuries. The UP police is now on the hunt for accused teacher Ashwini Singh, who is on the run. Angry locals torched vehicles and pelted stones on police personnel last night.
