UP police make arrests after man is beaten up by mob in Kanpur, video goes viral

• A day after a video of a man being beaten up by a mob in Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur emerged, the police made three arrests. An e-rickshaw driver was seen being thrashed in the video. His wailing daughter fearfully clung to his side as he was assaulted. Even when the police arrived and tried to escort the victim to safety, he was hit by some members of the crowd. Police said that relatives of the victim, who is Muslim, were engaged in a property dispute with their Hindu neighbours in the area. Watch the full video for more.
