U.S approves $12BN aid for Ukraine after Putin's annexation declaration

- As Vladimir Putin is set to attain his first war goal of annexing Donetsk and Luhansk, the U.S. Senate approves $12 billion in new aid for war-ravaged Ukraine. The decision has been made to counter Putin's new war expansion plans. More armaments and ammunition will be supplied to Ukraine under the new package. The U.S. aid announcement comes as the Kremlin plans to declare the annexation of 4 regions of Ukraine occupied by Russian troops.
