Over a span of 3 days, terrorists in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir killed 5 civilians. Many of the targets were religious minorities in the UT. Hindustan Times editor-in-chief Sukumar Ranganathan and senior editor Aditi Prasad decode why Pakistan is trying to reignite the situation seen in the 1990s when minorities were forced to flee the terror-stricken area. They also analyse whether Taliban's recent surge to power in Afghanistan is emboldening Islamabad which has been frustrated over its inability to highlight the Kashmir issue in international fora.
