The Delhi Assembly committee for peace and harmony has summoned Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut for allegedly posting hate speech on her social media account which the panel claimed has hurt the religious sentiments of the Sikh community of the city. The committee sent a summon notice to Ranaut on Thursday and asked her to appear before it on December 6 at 12 pm. Last week, the actor took to Instagram to share a picture of the former prime minister of India Indira Gandhi and said that she “crushed Khalistanis like mosquitoes” even at the “cost of her life” while praising her for taking a “decisive action.” Watch this report for more.
