‘No Amount Of Pressure Can…’: Netanyahu Vows To Defy U.S. On Rafah Invasion

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that his country will invade Rafah despite global pressure. “No amount of international pressure will stop us from realizing all the goals of the war: eliminating Hamas, releasing all our hostages and ensuring that Gaza will no longer pose a threat against Israel. To do this, we will also operate in Rafah,” Netanyahu said on March 17, and added that the invasion could begin in a few weeks. Rafah, the last standing city in Gaza, shelters around 1.2 million displaced Palestinians and its possible invasion has caused panic about an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
