Putin hits Ukraine’s gas giant 13 times in 7 Days: Is Russia preparing for a brutal winter war?

Russia has intensified its campaign against Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, striking state-owned gas giant Naftogaz 13 times in just seven days with missiles and drones. Naftogaz says its facilities have suffered 293 attacks since the beginning of 2026, with 37 sites reportedly destroyed during the first seven months. The latest strikes damaged gas-production equipment and reduced part of Ukraine’s domestic output as Kyiv prepares for another difficult winter.
