France has accused Russia of launching major cyberattacks targeting critical sectors, including Olympic-linked bodies. French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot told the UN Security Council that Russia’s GRU unit “Fancy Bear” (APT28) had hit defence, finance, and Olympic organisations. The accusation sparked global outrage, with Barrot demanding Moscow “cease immediately.” He linked the attacks to France’s support for Ukraine.
