At the 10th Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok, President Vladimir Putin unveiled a comprehensive plan to transform Russia’s Far East into a global hub for rare earth metals. Emphasizing macroeconomic stability, Putin highlighted ongoing infrastructure expansion—including the Trans-Arctic Corridor and port upgrades—while outlining strategies for sustainable mineral extraction, hydropower development, and high-tech innovation. The roadmap includes a unified preferential regime for business, expanded logistics and rail links, and increasing cooperation with China, Southeast Asia, and potential future returns of European businesses. The Far East is set to become a center for advanced manufacturing, green energy, and rare earth processing.
