Putin showcases new Geran drones after Kaliningrad warning

Russian President Vladimir Putin inspected new Geran-4 and Geran-5 drones during the final phase of Russia’s Centre-2026 military exercise in Chelyabinsk, according to the Kremlin. The jet-powered drones were showcased as Russia highlighted its expanding long-range unmanned arsenal. The display came after Putin warned that Moscow could use all available weapons if NATO attacked Russia’s Kaliningrad exclave. The Centre-2026 drills involved more than 47,000 military personnel from Russia and partner states, with thousands of troops taking part in the final phase at the Chebarkulsky training ground. The showcase comes amid heightened Russia-NATO tensions and growing attention on advanced Russian drone warfare capabilities.
