Russian President Vladimir Putin seems to be teaching Pakistan a lesson for its 'Ukraine betrayal' by striking a deal with Afghanistan in the midst of two-nation tension. According to Russian state media TASS, Moscow has signed a memorandum for the development of Afghanistan's thermal coal power sector. While Pakistan was already expected to be part of the energy deal with Russia and Iran, the inclusion of Afghanistan might irk Islamabad given the current tussle. This is not all Russian energy producers who are now ready to join the construction of the gas pipeline for the Afghan part from Turkmenistan to Pakistan and India. A project by Moscow on the establishment of modern medical laboratories for the public in Afghan cities is also being prepared. Interestingly, Russia's "affection" for Afghanistan comes at a time when Pakistan is said to be constantly supplying weapons to Ukraine in order to make profits. Watch this report to learn more.
