Putin’s drone blitz rattles Ukraine’s neighbour as Russian weapons enter Moldova

Moldova said five Russian air attack weapons — three missiles and two drones — violated its airspace and exploded on its territory during Russia’s October 3 strikes on Ukraine. President Maia Sandu said the weapons were tracked near Anenii Noi, Stefan Voda, Tudora and Causeni, while explosions were reported near several villages. No casualties or damage were reported as authorities investigated. The incident came as Ukraine said Russia launched 157 Shahed and Gerbera drones, including jet-powered variants, in attacks that killed eight people and injured 83. Moldova has reported repeated airspace violations amid intensifying Russian strikes on Ukraine.
