India has won the T20 World Cup after 17 years. This is also the first ICC trophy for the Men in Blue in 11 years and an ICC World Cup in 13 years. Indian captain Rohit Sharma, who announced his retirement along with Virat Kohli from T20Is, was happy to share that he started and ended his career in T20 World Cups with a high. Meanwhile, Hardik Pandya, who bowled the crucial last over, felt redeemed after the World Cup glory. India’s head coach Rahul Dravid was also on cloud nine after the historic win.
