Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar came down heavily on the leader of opposition in Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi over his reservation remarks in the United States. “Today a person holding a constitutional position goes abroad and says Reservation must end. Look at the pattern of prejudice against reservations that have been handed over,” Dhankhar said at an event in Mumbai on September 15. Rahul Gandhi had said his party would remove reservation once India was a fair place, emphasising that India was not a fair place currently. He had also later clarified his remarks following the backlash.
