Published on May 24, 2022 04:14 pm IST

  • In a late night action on Monday, over 100 Pakistan Tehreek-E-Insaf (PTI) activists have been arrested from Punjab province. PTI leaders claimed that the police also raided their home at 2 AM. This comes ahead of Imran Khan's massive march plan to Islamabad tomorrow, demanding early elections in the country. As per reports, the police later confirmed that the arrests were made at the behest of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) coalition. "Police have so far arrested over 100 PTI activists, including a lady lawmaker Rashida Khanum, from different parts of Punjab province to stop them from reaching Islamabad to take part in the 'Azadi March'," said PTI Punjab information secretary Mussarat Cheema. PTI chief Khan has demanded the government to dissolve the Federal Assembly and call for elections. Watch to know what unfolded in Pakistan last night.
