Saudi Arabia is facing mounting pressure to respond after a reported missile attack on Riyadh’s King Khalid International Airport on October 10 allegedly killed 12 people and wounded more than 300. Reports said the casualties included Saudi nationals, Bangladeshi nationals, an American citizen and other foreign nationals. The Saudi-led military coalition blamed the Houthis for the strike, condemned it as a “war crime” and vowed a response without specifying what action it would take. Hours later, another projectile was reported near King Fahd International Airport in Dammam, raising further concerns over Saudi airspace security. U.S. President Donald Trump said Washington was evaluating whether to join Saudi strikes against the Houthis, placing renewed focus on the risk of deeper American involvement in the regional conflict.
