Russia’s nuclear nightmare: Drone reaches Kursk reactor as Ukraine war takes a dark turn

A drone has hit the cooling tower of an operating reactor unit at Russia's Kursk Nuclear Power Plant, triggering a fresh nuclear safety scare. The IAEA said the reactor continued operating normally and no fire was reported, but Rafael Grossi warned that attacks on nuclear facilities are unacceptable and urged maximum military restraint to prevent an accident. The strike came just a day after Sergey Lavrov accused the West of allowing Kyiv to “get away with everything.” With a drone now reaching an operational Russian nuclear facility, has the Ukraine war entered an even more dangerous phase?
