Second NATO nation plans Saudi defence support as France's nuclear carrier fire adds to troubles?

Turkey is preparing to expand its military support for Saudi Arabia as Houthi attacks intensify, with Ankara reportedly planning additional air-defence equipment, personnel and other capabilities for the kingdom. Turkish officials told Middle East Eye that technical teams, air-defence systems and electronic-warfare equipment are already operating in Saudi Arabia, while further support could arrive in the coming weeks. The move follows the activation of the Makkah defence pact between Saudi Arabia, Türkiye and Pakistan, which calls for collective defensive measures. Turkey’s reported role is focused on protecting Saudi infrastructure and airspace, but the deployment raises questions over how far Ankara could become involved if the conflict escalates further.
