'Muslims safe': Arif Mohammad Khan defends India under Modi, slams 'victimhood'

- Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, who is known for his straight talking, has rubbished the claim that Muslims in India are unsafe under the present government led by Narendra Modi. Khan, a former Union Minister, told Hindustan Times in an interview that Muslims should not be described as a minority as there is no such mention in the constitution of India and that every citizen is equal, irrespective of his religion. The Kerala Governor said the perceived threat to Muslims in India is an instrument of victimhood which he says exists since the fall of Mughal empire. Watch the full interview.
