Paralympics: Bhavina Patel wins silver medal; President, PM hail TT player

Indian paddler Bhavina Patel created history by winning a silver medal at Tokyo Paralympics, India’s first. President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Patel for her silver win. Bhavinaben Patel lost to China’s Zhou Ying in the final of the women’s singles class 4 event. The Indian paddler had entered the final by defeating world no. 3 China’s Miao Zhang. President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Bhavina on her win.
