Watch: Odisha Governor felicitates Asian Games silver medalist Dutee Chand

Odisha Governor Ganeshi Lal felicitated Asian Games double silver medalist sprinter Dutee Chand on Monday. She was invited along with her family to receive the honour. Dutee won two silver medals in 100m and 200m race. Government also announced a whopping amount of Rs. 3 crore for her achievements. Chand, who had been dropped from the 2014 Commonwealth Games on account of having more than the then prescribed limit, had challenged these rules at the Centre for Arbitration of Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, and won. IAAF's new rules are an outcome of this case — 100m, the category Chand runs in, is exempt.
