Zerodha's Kamath admits to cheating after 'beating' Anand in charity chess

Zerodha's Nikhil Kamath participated in a charity chess match against Viswanathan Anand. To many people's surprise, Kamath won the match against the 5-time world chess champion. However, the Zerodha co-founder later admitted to using unfair means to defeat Anand. The billionaire shared a statement on Twitter & apologised to chess champion, Anand. Taking to the micro-blogging site, Anand soon responded to Kamath's apology. The online match plunged into controversy after Anand was stunned during the chess event. Checkmate Covid was organised by Chess.com India with NGO Akshaya Patra Foundation. Event was organised on Sunday evening to raise money for families affected due to Covid-19.
