Taiwan builds F-16 fortress to survive China’s first airbase strike? 26 new shelters rise

Taiwan is reportedly planning 26 new hardened aircraft shelters at Hualien and Taitung to protect its F-16 fleet, according to Military Watch. With 66 new F-16C/D Block 70 fighters due by the early 2030s, Taipei is strengthening eastern airbases against potential PLA missile strikes and attacks on its fighter fleet.
