Taliban backs India on Kashmir, condemns Pahalgam attack; stunned Pakistan fumes at Afghan FM

Pakistan has reacted furiously after Afghanistan, under the Taliban-led government, recognized Jammu and Kashmir as part of India in a joint statement with New Delhi on October 10. Islamabad summoned the Afghan envoy, calling the reference a “violation” of UN resolutions. Muttaqi, speaking from India amid intense Afghanistan-Pakistan border clashes, dismissed Pakistan’s accusations and warned that “Afghanistan has other options” if peace is rejected.
