‘Tell Hamas To Accept Ceasefire Or…’: Biden’s Top Aide’s Message To Qatar After Truce Talks Failed

U.S. Secretary Of State Antony Blinken told Qatar to threaten Hamas with expulsion if the Gaza militant group doesn’t agree to a temporary ceasefire, CNN reported. Blinken’s message to Qatar came after truce talks between Hamas and Israel faltered ahead of Ramadan. Times of Israel reported last week that Qatar had proposed to expel Hamas leaders after the militant group killed nearly 1200 Israelis on October 7. Blinken, however, at the time signalled Qatar to use its influence on Hamas to mediate for a hostage deal.
