U.S. Secretary Of State Antony Blinken told Qatar to threaten Hamas with expulsion if the Gaza militant group doesn’t agree to a temporary ceasefire, CNN reported. Blinken’s message to Qatar came after truce talks between Hamas and Israel faltered ahead of Ramadan. Blinken, however, at the time signalled Qatar to use its influence on Hamas to mediate for a hostage deal.
