Russia has launched an extraordinary verbal attack on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, with Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova comparing him to Osama Bin Laden and claiming he has “surpassed” the former al-Qaeda leader. Moscow has also accused Kyiv of targeting energy assets and civilian tankers, warning that such attacks could threaten Western energy security and raise the stakes for Ukraine’s conflict with Russia.
